British ambassador to Ukraine Judith Gough will volunteer as a teacher at one of the language camps, Go Camp, in Ukraine in 2017, British Council director Simon Williams has said at the round table in Gorshenin Institute on the results of the Year of English in Ukraine.

"The British ambassador has volunteered to be a volunteer to teach in one of the GoCamps next summer," he said.

The year of the English language comes to an end but the need for English does not, he said.

"In terms of our plans for next year, we intend to continue working with our partners in the government, our partners in the American embassy, our partners in civil society with GoGlobal. We will be training the English teachers in all 137 hub schools, working in partnership with the Ministry of Education," he said.

"The year of English is finished but maybe a decade or century of English has just started," Williams concluded.
