Border guards at Kyiv Boryspil Airport have barred John Graeme Broderip Warren, a national of the United Kingdom and the host of a show on the Russian TV channel NTV, from entering Ukraine and imposed a three-year entry ban on him for violating the rules of entering Crimea.

"The UK citizen, who works as the host of the Poyedem, Poyedim [Let's Go, Let's Eat] programme on a Russian TV channel, was discovered while passengers from a London flight were processed," Interfax-Ukraine quoted Oleh Slobodyan, an aide to the Ukrainian Border Service chief, as saying on Facebook.

While being interviewed, Warren confirmed that he had visited Crimea in September and October 2015, he said.

"Within the [Border Service's] purview and based on the information uncovered, this individual was not let through the Ukrainian border. He has also been barred from entering Ukraine for three years," Slobodyan said.
