A spokesman for Ukraine's foreign minister, Oleh Nikolenko, said Ukraine was studying Italy's proposals on how to end the war in Ukraine.

Oleg Nikolenko said this in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

"Ukraine appreciates Italy's support within the European Union and at the bilateral level. The Italian side has indeed shared its vision of ways to end russia's war against Ukraine. Relevant proposals are currently being studied," he said.

Nikolenko added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine welcomes any international efforts that will help restore peace on Ukrainian land and in Europe. At the same time, according to him, any political decision should be based on respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.

Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Mayo presented a peace plan for Ukraine to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. It contains four stages: a ceasefire, possible neutrality for Ukraine, territorial issues, including Crimea and Donbas, and a new pact on European and international security.

Besides, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi supports tightening sanctions against russia to force it to sit down at the negotiating table.
