President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked his American counterpart Joe Biden for signing a bill to provide Ukraine with $ 40 bln.

"Thank you to US President Joe Biden for signing the law on additional support for Ukraine. The leadership of the US, President Biden, and the American people in supporting Ukraine in the fight against the russian aggressor is important. We look forward to new powerful defense assistance.” Zelenskyy texted on his Twitter.

Today, Biden signed a bill to allocate $ 40 bln to Ukraine by the end of fiscal year 2022, September 30. The text of the law, after a vote in the US Senate this week, was delivered to the US President to South Korea, where Biden is on a visit.

The new aid package includes $ 6 bln in weapons for Ukraine and training for the armed forces, and more than $ 8 bln in replenishment of US military supplies, which have shrunk due to arms supplies to Ukraine. Nearly $ 4 bln in funding will go to strengthening US forces in the European region. More than $ 8 bln will go to economic support for Ukraine, etc.
