The war in Ukraine may take a long time, and the world must be ready for it. This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in an interview with the Greek newspaper Capital. Stoltenberg called on the Allies to be ready to provide long-term support and replenish supplies.

"Wars are unpredictable. No one can say exactly when and how this war will end. But what we saw was, of course, the courage and professionalism of the Ukrainian military. We saw the courage of the Ukrainian political leadership with President Zelenskiy. And then we saw "Of course, the courage of the Ukrainian people. This, combined with the unprecedented military support of NATO allies and partners, has enabled them to resist the russian invasion," he said.

Stoltenberg stressed that the NATO bloc must be ready to help Ukraine for a long time, as this war is becoming more and more exhausting.

Stoltenberg has previously expressed the view that russia's war over Ukraine could drag on for years. He said the Alliance was ready to support Ukraine in the war against russia for many years, including assisting Kyiv in the transition from Soviet to modern Western weapons.
