Ukraine continues to return home the bodies of heroes who died in battle with the Russian occupiers, the press service of the Ministry of Reintegration reports.
"The Office of the Commissioner for Missing Persons together with law enforcement agencies continue to return home the Heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine. Today another transfer of bodies took place - 42 dead were delivered," the statement reads.
In total, the Commissioner for Missing Persons since his appointment has managed to return home the bodies of 869 defenders.
"The work on the exchange does not stop every day. Although the negotiation process is complicated and lengthy, we are trying to speed it up. We understand every family that is waiting for the return and honouring of the defenders. We will return all of them," said Oleh Kotenko, the Commissioner for Missing Persons.
He also stressed that there is a hotline for missing persons: 0 800 339 247.
