The Russian military massively refuse from "business trips to Ukraine" - the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Russian occupation forces continue the attack operation against our state and try to gain a foothold in the occupied positions and maintain the pace of the attack in certain areas.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in summary as of 24.00 on 13.03.2022.

The enemy is forming and moving strategic reserves to our borders to increase the number of groups in the Polissia, Tavriia, and Pivdennyi Buh operational areas.

There are many cases when Russian militaries refuse to go "on business trips to Ukraine" to participate in war actions, despite promises to get "veteran of war" status, additional daily allowances, and higher salaries.

Ignoring the norms of international humanitarian law, the Russian occupiers continue to destroy military and civilian infrastructure objects in Ukraine. Thus, on 13 March 2022, Russian aircraft hit the objects in Uman, Ivano-Frankivsk, Starychi with missile strikes. In addition, Iskander (mobile short-range ballistic missile system) launches from Belarus continue.

In the Volyn direction, the enemy conducted demonstration actions using units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus along the State Border of Ukraine.

In the Polissia direction, units of the occupying forces conducted measures to restore combat capability, regroup troops and improve logistics. On the other hand, to exclude the sudden actions by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy is actively conducting reconnaissance.

In the Siversk direction, the enemy focused on regrouping, replenishing supplies, preparing to resume the attack in the direction of Brovary.

In the Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy is trying to gain a foothold on the achieved frontiers, regrouping troops and trying to resume attack operations on the cities of Kharkiv and Sumy.

In the Izium direction, due to the active attack of Ukrainian defenders, the enemy suffered losses in the area of the settlements of Topolske, Shpakivka, Donetske and retreated.

In the Donetsk and Tavriia directions, enemy units are trying to conduct storm operations, concentrating their primary efforts on advancing in the direction of Sieverodonetsk.

The attempts to take Mariupol remain unsuccessful.

In the Pivdennyi Buh direction, the enemy is trying to conduct raids and gain a foothold on the achieved frontiers.

On 13 March 2022, near Melitopol, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a staff of occupiers and about 200 military vehicles and equipment units.

The total combat losses of the Russian occupiers as of the morning of 13 March 2022 exceed 12,000 people, 74 aircraft, and 86 helicopters.
