Roger Federer (№ 26 ATP), a world tennis ex-leader and 20-time singles winner of the Grand Slam, will donate to Ukrainian children affected by the Russian attack.
"What is happening in Ukraine terrifies me and my family. Our hearts are broken because of the suffering of innocent people. We stand for peace.
I want to help children with my support. About six million Ukrainian children do not attend school. We know that this is a very critical time to ensure access to education. We want to support them in the fight against this extremely traumatic experience. We will provide support to children from Ukraine.
Through the Roger Federer Foundation, we will support War Child Holland by donating $500,000 to ensure that Ukrainian children continue their education," Federer said in a statement.
