Ukraine will receive Ceasar artillery systems and the first Leopard 1 tanks from Denmark, acting Defence Minister of Denmark Troels Lund Poulsen has said at a joint briefing with his Ukrainian counterpart Oleksiy Reznikov, MediaCentre Ukraine reports.

"We hope to deliver Ceasar artillery systems to Ukraine next month. They are currently at training grounds in Denmark. As for the Leopard 1 tanks. Two months ago, Denmark signed an agreement with Germany. We hope to start delivering tanks by the summer. Looking ahead six months, it will be possible to supply about 100 Leopard 1 tanks to Ukraine," said Poulsen.

The Danish minister added that they would also be able to discuss the supply of Leopard 2 tanks, "which are not very numerous in Denmark".

Poulsen stressed that it is important that Ukrainian specialists have the opportunity to service and repair the weapons before they arrive in Ukraine. This issue will be worked out.

Reznikov said that Ukrainian artillerymen "are already training on Ceasar". "You will also soon hear tanks with Danish accents roaring in Ukraine," the minister added.

He invited foreign specialists who are willing and able to service such equipment, as well as have the appropriate permits and access to documents, to come to Ukraine to work.

"This also applies to pilots. If there are pilots who know how to fly F-16s and are ready to take part, the Foreign Legion is ready to open its doors," Reznikov added.
