Today, Russian forces struck the National University of Food Technologies. The attack damaged the institution’s buildings, but no students or staff were injured.

Ukraine’s Minister of Education and Science, Andriy Butenko, wrote about it on Facebook.

The strike came on the second day of the new academic year. The university organised the educational process with the security situation in mind.

The Ministry of Education and Science stressed that Russian attacks directly affect how teaching is organised. Depending on the situation in a particular region, pupils and students study in person, remotely, or in a blended format.

At the same time, there is no single format of learning for the whole country.

"Local authorities, together with educational institutions, determine the optimal format of learning, based above all on the security situation on the ground. We are in constant contact with the regions and educational institutions, monitor the situation, and are ready to respond promptly to any changes," the head of the Ministry of Education and Science said.
