Two people were killed as a result of evening and overnight strikes on the Dnipropetrovsk region. They were police officers, hit by the Russians in the Bohdanivka community of Pavlohrad district.
Another officer has been taken to hospital in a serious condition. A fire broke out at the strike site and a vehicle was damaged, the head of the Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha, reported on Telegram.
The National Police of Ukraine reported that the victims were Oleksandr Hryhorenko and Serhii Shmatko. As part of an investigative and operational team, they travelled to Pavlohrad district to document the aftermath of the attack. While they were working, the Russians launched a second drone strike. Captain Oleksandr Hryhorenko was killed at the scene; Senior Lieutenant Serhii Shmatko sustained severe injuries and died in hospital.
“In the Nikopol area, Nikopol, the Pokrovske community and the Marhanets community came under attack. A business and a supermarket were damaged,” the head of the Regional Military Administration said of other consequences of the attack on the region.
Overall, since the evening the occupiers have attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region more than 10 times with drones and artillery.
