On the night of 4 September, an oil depot belonging to Rosneft-Kubannefteprodukt caught fire in Russia’s Sochi. Explosions were also heard in the area where an air defence battalion is based.
According to the outlet, the oil depot in the Adler district caught fire after a suspected drone attack. Sochi Mayor Andrey Proshunin also confirmed the fire at the oil depot. There were no casualties, he added.

It is likely that something caught fire near the settlement of Sirius on the border with Abkhazia, close to the Psou River. Russia’s S-300 or S-400 surface-to-air missile system is based there.
Local media wrote that a huge radar had been installed right on the shore in this area near the Krylya Baltiki beach.
