The Russian strike on the plant of the American company Coca-Cola in Kyiv Region is not an isolated incident. It is yet another deliberate attack on American business interests and part of Russia’s strategy to damage the US economy and push American companies out of international markets, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha believes.

He urged the US House of Representatives to pass the Act on imposing sanctions against Russia. It was worked on by Senator Lindsey Graham, who died unexpectedly in July this year.

“Only strength will make Moscow know its place. In this regard, we once again call on the US House of Representatives to pass the Act on imposing sanctions against Russia,” Andrii Sybiha commented on the strike.

The Russians carried out the strike on the Coca-Cola plant in Brovary District on 3 September. No employees were injured, the company said in a comment to RBC-Ukraine

The Coca-Cola plant in Kyiv Region is one of Europe’s largest facilities producing soft drinks.

Russia has not attacked American businesses in Ukraine for the first time.
