Air Defences Destroy More Than 4,600 Aerial Targets in August

In August, the Defence Forces destroyed more than 4,600 aerial targets. In addition, they neutralised more than 50,000 tactical-level UAVs.

The Air Force reported this. 

In total, they destroyed: 

• 25 Kh-101 cruise missiles;
• 1 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missile;
• 8 Kalibr cruise missiles;
• 21 Kh-59/69 guided air-to-surface missiles;
• 4 Iskander-K cruise missiles;
• 5 Oniks anti-ship missiles;
• 101 S8000 “Banderol”;
• 1,876 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs;
• 1,460 Shahed-238 attack UAVs;
• 1,031 reconnaissance UAVs;
• 820 Lancet UAVs.

Over the course of August, Air Force aviation carried out more than 1,900 sorties, including more than 1,400 for fighter air cover and about 300 for fire strikes and aviation support for troops.

• In July, the Defence Forces of Ukraine destroyed more than 5,300 aerial targets. In addition, the military neutralised more than 48,000 tactical-level drones.
