Due to the deteriorating security situation in Kyiv, organisers have cancelled or postponed at least six cultural events. These include music and book festivals, charity fairs, guided tours and other activities.

The GogolFest festival, which was due to return to Kyiv in September after a nine-year break, is changing its programme because of the security situation.
As festival founder Vlad Troitskyi reported, organisers decided not to hold events in the main building of the International Centre of Culture and Arts, the former October Palace.
Part of the programme will go ahead from 16 to 20 September. The Kinopalats will screen films and present a visual programme, including the Nahirna residency and Art-Squat – an arts programme by the arts lyceum led by artist Alevtyna Kakhidze.
The festival also plans to present an installation by artist Nikita Kadan, which he is creating specifically for GogolFest. The remaining large-scale events will be postponed until spring.
The Kurazh festival, scheduled for 19–20 September, has also temporarily suspended operations.
Organisers said they will not hold the planned event and will refund money for tickets and participation already purchased. At the same time, the team hopes to stage a Christmas Kurazh.
Due to the security situation, all guided tours at the Mezhyhiria park-monument have been temporarily cancelled.

At the same time, the park grounds remain open to visitors. During an air-raid alert, the administration urges people to head to the shelter located in the upper part of the park-monument.
The Pokolinnia festival, which was due to take place this weekend, has been postponed to 25–27 September.
Purchased tickets remain valid. Organisers are currently coordinating with artists to reschedule their performances. They promise to publish an updated programme later.
The Young Blood Live music showcase, scheduled for 6 September at the Keller club, has also been postponed.
Organisers have not yet announced a new date. They say they will share further updates on their social media.
The book festival “Knyzhkova Kraina. Zahadkova”, which was due to take place at VDNG in Kyiv, has also been postponed until spring.
As a result, the worsening security situation has already affected at least six cultural events in the capital.
