Ukraine’s Defence Forces continue to carry out their assigned tasks to defend the state in line with the plan. At the same time, in certain areas, instructions are being issued regarding a limited or partial silence regime.
This was reported to Suspilne by the AFU Main Directorate of Communications.
The AFU Main Directorate of Communications stressed that a ceasefire regime cannot be unilateral or non-symmetrical, as this would create a danger to the lives and health of service personnel.
“Therefore, the tasks of the defensive operation are currently being carried out in full,” a Suspilne source said.
Dmytro Filatov, commander of the 1st Separate Assault Regiment, said on air on “Suspilne Studio” that the unit had received an order from the AFU General Staff not to carry out strikes at operational depth.
At the same time, at the tactical level, no restrictions on opening fire or conducting combat operations have been introduced in the unit.
Suspilne continues to receive information from Defence Forces units about instructions to observe the silence regime.
Suspilne sources in the command of two brigades in Donetsk region denied information about the introduction of such a regime. A similar position was voiced by a brigade stationed in the north of Kharkiv region.
At the same time, as of the morning, the command of the Northern Territorial Defence Forces received an instruction to introduce a silence regime.
- Yesterday, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy promised, for the period 5–6 September, to ensure the normal functioning of Russian airspace for the safe flight of Kushner and Witkoff.
- Russia was required to take reciprocal action: no aerial bombardments.
- As of the morning of 4 September, Russia continues shelling Ukrainian cities. In Kherson region, seven people are known to have been injured. In Pavlohrad, lorries are on fire; in Zaporizhzhia, an enemy drone struck a car park. There are fires there as well.
