US President’s special representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner arrived in Moscow on Saturday, 5 September, for talks on ending the war in Ukraine.

US President Donald Trump said on Friday that the United States has a new, specific proposal aimed at ending the war.
Trump, as expected, did not spell out the terms of his peace plan.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has also said that after their visit to Moscow, Witkoff and Kushner are due to travel to Ukraine on Sunday.
The Kremlin, meanwhile, said that the demands voiced by Putin in a speech two years ago remain "unchanged". These include, in particular, the demand that Russia be handed the entire territory of four Ukrainian regions that Moscow has declared its own, as well as that Ukraine abandon its bid to join NATO.
