On the night of 6 September (from 18:00 on 5 September), Russia attacked Ukraine with 108 attack UAVs and S8000 “Banderol” drone-missiles. Air defence forces destroyed 82 enemy UAVs.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
“On the night of 6 September (from 18:00 on 5 September), the enemy attacked with 108 Shahed-type attack UAVs (including jet-powered ones), Gerbera, ‘Parodiya’-type decoy drones, as well as S8000 ‘Banderol’, from the directions of: Millerovo, Oryol, Kursk, the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk, Hvardiiske – the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea,” the statement said.
The air attack was repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defence Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 09:30, air defence forces neutralised 82 enemy UAVs of the Shahed and Gerbera types, drones of other types, and six S8000 “Banderol”.
Enemy air attack weapons were recorded hitting 11 locations, and debris from downed targets falling at 7 locations.
“The attack is ongoing, with enemy UAVs in the airspace. Follow safety rules!” the Air Force stressed.
