Fighters from the Lasar’s Group unit of the National Guard of Ukraine destroyed a rare Russian R-330Zh Zhitel electronic warfare system deep behind enemy lines.

This was reported by NGU Commander Oleksandr Pivnenko.

Scouts and Lasar’s Group aerial reconnaissance operators pinpointed the exact location of the Russian system. They then used LASAR strike bomber drones of their own manufacture to hit it.

The crews travelled about 55 kilometres into Russia’s rear and struck the target.

The Russian R-330Zh Zhitel system is designed to create radio interference. In particular, it has been used against Ukrainian reconnaissance drones.
