On the night of 15 October, Ukrainian defenders destroyed six Su-34M aircraft in Russia.

The Navy reported this on Facebook.

“On the night of 15 October, the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, using the Neptune coastal missile system, struck the Borisoglebsk military airfield in Russia’s Voronezh region,” the statement said.

They also destroyed technical equipment used to support aviation operations. Repeat detonations and a fire were recorded on the airfield grounds. The information is being уточнюють.

The Su-34M can simultaneously carry several guided and high-explosive aerial bombs, as well as various types of missiles, and is one of the key assets of Russian aviation for delivering strikes with guided aerial bombs on the positions of Ukraine’s Defence Forces and frontline settlements.

Striking the enemy Su-34Ms significantly weakens the adversary’s air power and reduces the intensity of tactical aviation use in the relevant sectors of the front, the Navy said.

  • In September, the Security Service of Ukraine hit three aircraft and three helicopters at the Rostov-Central military airfield in Russia and, together with the Defence Forces, attacked the Yaroslavl oil refinery.
