Ukraine’s Defence Forces, together with NATO’s Allied Command Transformation and with the support of the NATO–Ukraine Joint Analysis, Training and Education Centre (JATEC), have developed two artificial intelligence models.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.
These models will help predict enemy drone strikes near the front line and plan the use of Ukrainian artillery more effectively.
Specialists presented both solutions at a JATEC seminar in Vilnius, held at the National Cyber Security Centre. Around 30 NATO experts and Ukrainian military analysts from various Defence Forces units took part in the event.
The General Staff added that the first model forecasts enemy drone activity by analysing accumulated data, weather conditions and the situation on the battlefield. Specialists have already tested it on real datasets, refined it and prepared it for integration into the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s situational awareness systems.
The second model helps plan artillery employment by automatically generating and assessing courses of action. Its prototype has already been handed over to the Ukrainian military for testing and verification.
