Andrii Hrytseniuk is leaving his post as CEO of the Brave1 defence technology cluster. This was reported on the cluster’s Facebook page.

At the same time, Brave1 noted that the leadership team will remain in their positions. Viktor Rudenko will continue to serve as head of the Innovation Development Fund, while Chief Operating Officer Iryna Zabolotna will focus on developing Brave1 during the transition period.

Andrii joined Brave1 in May 2025 together with the new leadership team.

“Thanks to his technical background and experience in transforming large organisations, Andrii focused on accelerating the development of technologies capable of giving Ukraine an advantage over the enemy. Since then, Brave1 has undergone rapid scaling and launched new projects for the battlefield,” the cluster said.

In particular, on the Brave1 Market marketplace, service personnel gained the ability to exchange earned ePoints for drones and other equipment. The cluster also updated its grant programme.

Remote-control systems, turrets, automatic target-acquisition modules, amphibious ground robotic systems, and signal repeaters have also been developed. In addition, Brave1, together with the NEXT unit, has built infrastructure for the systematic testing of innovative weapons prototypes.

Another area has been a programme to develop independent production of Ukrainian components. The cluster also launched large-scale grant competitions for developers of low-cost surface-to-air missiles and autonomous drones, as well as for scaling up the production of explosives.

In education, Brave1 launched the Brave Students programme and, together with Ukraine’s Ministry of Education and Science, began establishing centres of research excellence at universities.

As a reminder, in an interview with Forbes Ukraine, Andrii Hrytseniuk said that Brave1 funds developments to counter the enemy’s jet-powered drones—specifically small air-defence missiles and interceptor drones. One of the funded systems is already shooting down Russian missile-drones known as “Banderol”.
