On 18 October and overnight into 19 October, units of Ukraine’s Defence Forces struck a number of important military facilities of the Russian army. The targets included a radar station, ammunition depots and concentrations of occupier manpower.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.

In particular, in the area of Trubchevsk in Russia’s Bryansk Region, Ukrainian forces struck a radar station.

The systematic targeting of Russian radar stations creates gaps in the enemy’s radar coverage and weakens its air defence system. This enables Ukraine’s Defence Forces to use unmanned systems more effectively — from the tactical zone along the line of contact to military facilities deep inside Russian territory.

Ukrainian troops also struck an artillery firing position and a position used by Russian army drone crews in the area of Lyman Pershyi in Kharkiv Region.

In Donetsk Region, the AFU strikes hit:

  • ammunition depots in the areas of Hrintal and Ternove;
  • a logistics depot in the area of Pelahiivka;
  • concentrations of occupier manpower in the areas of Svobodne and Volodymyrivka.

In addition, Ukrainian forces struck a concentration of Russian troops in the area of Naberezhne in Zaporizhzhia Region.

Work against the enemy’s key military targets continues.
