From 1 November, a longer curfew will be in force across the whole of Donetsk Region, except for the Oleksandrivka and Cherkasy communities, running from 16:00 to 11:00.

This was reported by the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin.

According to him, the decision was taken due to the security situation in the region.

“The Russians are intensifying shelling of the region’s settlements, and the risks to civilians are constantly increasing. I ask everyone to treat the new restrictions responsibly, plan travel in advance, and comply with the requirements of the military administrations and law enforcement,” Filashkin stressed.

In the Oleksandrivka and Cherkasy communities, the curfew will remain unchanged for now — from 21:00 to 05:00.

The head of the Regional Military Administration also emphasised that there are no longer any safe places in Donetsk Region and urged residents, especially families with children, to evacuate to safer regions of Ukraine.

  • In the part of Donetsk Region controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, 71,300 people remain living there. In the first two weeks of October, 4,340 residents left the region on their own or were evacuated from it.
