Ukrainian company NODRICS has unveiled the MAT1LDA amphibious unmanned ground vehicle, designed to overcome water obstacles, operate on water and move across difficult terrain. TENCORE reported this.
MAT1LDA has an 8×8 wheel configuration, a petrol internal combustion engine and side pontoons that provide buoyancy. According to the company, this design enables the system to traverse marshy areas and challenging terrain without prior site preparation.
The platform’s stated range is up to 160 km on land and up to 50 km on water. The UGV can carry up to 500 kg of payload on land and up to 400 kg while afloat, the company said.
MAT1LDA is equipped with an open frame, allowing its configuration to be quickly changed depending on the task. Cargo containers can be installed on the platform for logistics operations, or evacuation stretchers for transporting the wounded.
MAT1LDA became one of four UGVs included in the TENCORE ECOSYSTEM technology environment, which TENCORE developed. Within the TENCORE ECOSYSTEM structure, the MAT1LDA system is responsible for crossing bodies of water and operating in conditions where conventional ground platforms struggle to move. The ecosystem brings together robotic solutions for a range of tasks, including logistics, evacuation and operations in difficult terrain.
