On 21 October, NABU is conducting searches at the premises of the National Bank of Ukraine and at the home of one of its employees. The Bureau’s press service said this in response to journalists’ enquiries.
No one has been served with a notice of suspicion and no one has been detained. The name of the employee at whose location the investigative actions are taking place was not disclosed.
“The investigative actions have been authorised and are being carried out in accordance with current legislation. No further details are being disclosed in order to preserve the secrecy of the pre-trial investigation,” NABU commented.
The National Bank’s press service said that additional explanations would be provided after the investigative actions are completed.
“The National Bank continues to operate as normal,” the NBU said.
