President Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded state awards to 214 Ukrainian defenders; 14 were given posthumously, announced the President in his video address on the evening of April 28.
The head of state announced this during a video address on the evening of April 28. The text of the decree has not yet been published on the President's website.
"I signed a decree on awarding our heroes. Two hundred fourteen servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were awarded state awards, fourteen of them posthumously. Eternal memory to all who gave their lives for Ukraine, eternal glory to all who defended the state. Glory to Ukraine!" Said the President.
The day before, 243 Ukrainian defenders were awarded state awards. The President awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine to the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant-General Serhiy Nayev.
