French President Emmanuel Macron plans to visit Ukraine in February to finalise a bilateral agreement on security guarantees. In the coming weeks, France will provide Ukraine with a new security assistance package. This was reported by Reuters.
Macron said that about 40 long-range Scalp missiles and several hundred bombs would be delivered in the coming weeks. "With these deliveries, I will go to Ukraine myself in February and finalise these texts," Macron said.
He stressed that Europeans must guarantee Ukraine's ability to defend itself against Russia.
Macron also said that Russia should not be allowed to defeat Ukraine, otherwise Europe's security would be at risk.
