On the afternoon of 24 September, the enemy again began to strike Kharkiv with guided missile systems.
This was reported by the mayor of the city Ihor Terekhov.
‘The enemy is striking one of the most populated districts of the city with KABs. Be careful,’ the mayor wrote.
He added that so far the strikes have hit four administrative districts of Kharkiv.
Update. According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Synyehubov, three people have been killed. Another 31 people were injured.
The head of the region added that the youngest injured person is 17 years old, the oldest is 87 years old. ‘The vast majority of the injured are in moderate condition. Four people are in serious condition. Three people are in surgery,’ noted Synyehubov.
The hits of two KABs were recorded in the Saltivka district of Kharkiv. One of the high-rise buildings was hit directly.
Terekhov said that, in particular, there were 13 injured in the Kyiv district, including one dead.
‘The house that was hit in Kyiv district had already been shelled at the beginning of the war. It was almost repaired, all the windows were replaced, insulated and prepared for the heating season. The enemy hit it with a KAB for the second time,’ the mayor added.
Terekhov also said that the enemy fired eight FAB-250s at residential areas, while Synyehubov added that a residential building was hit by a FAB-500 bomb. One of the strikes hit a civilian food processing facility. One person died and eight were injured.
Two people are trapped under the rubble of a house in Kyiv district. A search and rescue operation is underway.
