Sweden will provide €9 million worth of assistance to certain units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
This was announced by Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko following a meeting with Swedish Minister of Civil Defence Carl-Oscar Bolin.
The aid includes two vessels with equipment to be provided to the State Border Guard Service, as well as 40,000 protective masks and respirators to be used by rescuers of the State Emergency Service.
The ministers discussed cooperation between the two countries in the areas of civil protection, countering hybrid threats and demining, as well as deepening cooperation on unmanned aerial vehicles.
The two ministries also signed a statement of intent.
