Since the start of 24 October, 117 combat clashes have taken place along the front line. Russian forces carried out 52 air strikes, dropped 173 guided aerial bombs and deployed 6,000 kamikaze drones.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in an operational update.
The occupiers also carried out 1,899 strikes on населённые пункты and Ukrainian troop positions.
The highest number of attacks was recorded on the Pokrovsk sector. The enemy tried 14 times to advance near Sofiivka, Vilne, Novyi Donbas, Dobropillia, Vasylivka, Krasnopillia, Serhiivka and Molodetske.
According to the General Staff’s preliminary estimates, during the day on this sector Ukrainian troops eliminated 28 occupiers and wounded another eight. They also destroyed five vehicles and two items of specialised equipment.
A vehicle, an artillery system, a piece of specialised equipment, two drone control points and 47 enemy shelters were damaged. In addition, Ukrainian defenders destroyed or suppressed 146 Russian UAVs of various types.
On the Kostiantynivka sector Ukrainian units repelled 11 enemy assaults in the Kostiantynivka area. Two attacks were still ongoing at the time of reporting. On the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector the Russians attacked Defence Forces positions eight times towards Ternova, Okhrimivka and Bochkovе. Two clashes have not yet ended.
On the Lyman sector Ukrainian troops stopped five enemy attempts to advance in the Zarychne area and towards Stavky and Dibrova.
On the Sloviansk sector the Defence Forces repelled three attempts by the occupiers to advance near Kryva Luka. On the Kupiansk sector the enemy tried three times to improve its tactical position, attacking towards Radkivka.
On the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors Russian forces carried out two air strikes using six guided aerial bombs and conducted 42 strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and on settlements.
On the Huliaipole sector Ukrainian defenders repelled nine attacks in the Dobropillia area and towards Verkhniа Tersa, Kopani, Huliaipilske and Yehorivka.
On the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy attacked once towards Zaporizke. On the Orikhiv sector, the occupiers tried to improve their positions by attacking towards Novoiakivlivka.
On the Kramatorsk and Dnipro sectors, Russian forces did not conduct assault operations. According to the General Staff, no significant changes in the situation were recorded on other sectors.
