Fighters from the “Bolharychi” special forces company of the 11th Mykhailo Hrushevskyi Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine have delivered baby food and toys to the temporarily occupied town of Oleshky in Kherson region.
This was reported by Interior Minister Ivan Vyhivskyi.
According to him, the day before, guardsmen used drones to deliver 15 parcels for families with children, with a total weight of more than 600 kilogrammes. They contained cereals, milk, educational games and toys.
“Despite the Russian occupation and the difficult conditions in which residents of Kherson region have found themselves, our units continue to support people,” the head of the Interior Ministry noted.
He added that among the children currently in the besieged Oleshky are those who were born during the full-scale war.
“We are supporting these families and delivering essential supplies to them,” Vyhivskyi stressed.
The minister also thanked everyone who assembled the parcels, operated the drones and provided cover, as well as those who, risking their lives, are helping Ukrainians in the temporarily occupied territory.
The Situation in Occupied Oleshky
Russia and Ukraine have agreed to temporarily halt hostilities in Oleshky in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid and to prepare the evacuation of civilians via a safe corridor.
The local ceasefire is due to begin on 29 October.
About 1,700 people remain trapped in the devastated city, and Russia is trying to turn the settlement into a deadly trap.
Ukraine has repeatedly called for safe evacuation and international humanitarian access. The Russian Federation ignored these calls.
