Two people were killed and a child was injured in a road traffic accident in the Kharkiv region. The crash occurred on the Kharkiv–Simferopol–Alushta–Yalta road.
This was reported by the National Police in the Kharkiv region.
According to preliminary police information, the 36-year-old driver of a Mitsubishi, while entering an intersection from a minor road, failed to comply with road signs and did not give way to a MAN lorry. As a result, the vehicles collided.
The Mitsubishi driver and her 41-year-old passenger died from their injuries. A nine-year-old boy who was in the car sustained injuries. He was taken to a medical facility.
A criminal investigation has been opened into the crash under Part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — violation of road safety rules or transport operation rules by persons driving vehicles.
