As a result of the russian air strike on Desna village, the Chernihiv region, 87 people were killed. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

"Today we have completed the work, and today there are 87 victims in Desna under the rubble. 87 corpses. Lives killed," he said.

The President emphasized that the war could be repeated, so Ukraine seeks to create such conditions that people and businesses are not afraid to develop in our country.

"Our task is to make the most modern air defense system, the most modern multisystem of security. Our task is to have a security agreement with other countries we trust, it is desirable that it be ratified in the parliaments of strategic partner countries. stopped before entering our land," he said.

At about 5:00 on May 17, russian aircraft fired four missiles at Desna village, two of which hit the building. As of 12 noon that day, eight people had been killed and 12 injured. There is a training center for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Desna.

It later became known that the death toll rose to 11 and the number of victims to 14.
