Ukrainian troops are reinforcing the defence line in the Avdiyivka sector and organising defences to the west of the town to prevent the enemy from advancing. The commander of the Tavriya operational and strategic group of forces, Oleksandr Tarnavskyy, said on Telegram.
According to him, the total Russian losses (killed and wounded) across the entire operational area of the Tavriya Group yesterday amounted to 447 people. The vast majority of them were in Donetsk Region and near Avdiyivka.
"Enemy losses in weapons and military equipment amounted to 62 units, not including 266 UAVs. In particular, 13 tanks, 32 armoured personnel carriers, two artillery systems and 15 vehicles were destroyed or damaged. One enemy ammunition depot was also destroyed," he said.
Today, Group spokesman Dmytro Lykhoviy said that the defenders withdrew from the village of Lastochkyne in Donetsk Region, not far from Avdiyivka. Officer of the 59th Separate Motorised Infantry Brigade named after Yakov Handziuk, Serhiy Tsehotskyy, told Radio Liberty that the withdrawal of Ukrainian forces near the village of Lastochkyne was correct and helped to exhaust Russian troops.
Russians increased the number of attacks and shelling in the Tavriya sector over the last day.
