  • The Bulgarian authorities are preparing amendments to the country's criminal code to allow the prosecution of the Kremlin regime for its aggressive war against Ukraine. This will be an act of support for international efforts to investigate Russian aggression in Ukraine.
  • In January, Bulgaria's defence minister said that most of the ammunition produced in the country goes to Ukraine. Bulgaria plans to produce Soviet-standard ammunition, as well as to launch additional production facilities to produce NATO-standard ammunition.
  • However, Bulgaria is delaying the delivery of 100 armoured personnel carriers for the needs of the Armed Forces, as the Ministry of Defence has asked NATO to pay for the transport costs. The decision to send the APCs was made more than three months ago in parliament, and the Bulgarian Interior Ministry and the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence signed an agreement on their delivery.
