President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that Ukraine aims to resolve the issue of unblocking the Polish border. However, if this is not achieved, the government will protect Ukrainian business. He said this at a press conference on 25 February

"We need to support Ukraine now. Tusk (Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk - ed.) and I have a working relationship, and we have had meetings. I recently had a meeting with Duda (Polish President Andrzej Duda - ed.). And with Ursula von der Leyen (President of the European Commission - ed.)... Since April last year, I have been saying that this is a political issue. And today the European Commission confirms this," Zelenskyy said.

The president said that Poland has an "internal struggle" and that "it is unfair to use Ukraine as pressure on European institutions."

"I believe that the prime ministers will find appropriate steps. I, as president, say openly that it is very important for us to preserve the alliance with Poland. And if no steps are found, we will protect our business," Zelenskyy added.
