Since the start of the day on 10 October, 195 combat engagements have been recorded on the front line. Russian forces were most active on the Pokrovsk, Huliaipole and Kostiantynivka fronts.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in an operational update.
The Russian army carried out one missile strike and 52 air strikes, dropping 185 guided aerial bombs. The occupiers also deployed 4,557 kamikaze drones and shelled populated areas and Ukrainian troop positions 2,095 times.
On the North Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk fronts, Ukrainian troops repelled three assaults. On the South Slobozhanshchyna front, the Russians attacked Defence Forces positions nine times near Starytsia, Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory and towards Radkivka.
On the Kupiansk front, one combat engagement was recorded in the area of Nova Kruhliakivka. On the Lyman front, Ukrainian defenders stopped seven attempts by the enemy to advance near Nadiia, Novoiehorivka, Novoselivka, Lyman and Dibrova.
On the Sloviansk front, the Defence Forces repelled three attacks near Ozerne, Kryva Luka and towards Pyskunivka. One more engagement was still ongoing as of the evening.
On the Kostiantynivka front, 15 combat engagements took place near Kostiantynivka, Novoselivka, Vilne and in the directions of Mykolaipillia and Raiske. One attack was still ongoing at the time the update was published.
The fiercest fighting was on the Pokrovsk front, where Russian forces tried 20 times to advance in the areas of Svitle, Molodetske, Novomykolaivka and towards Dobropillia and Serhiivka.
According to the General Staff’s preliminary estimates, over the past day on this front Ukrainian troops killed 48 occupiers and wounded another 11. They also destroyed six vehicles and nine pieces of specialised equipment, a drone control point and 58 enemy shelters. In addition, Ukrainian defenders destroyed or suppressed 244 hostile drones of various types.
On the Huliaipole front, Russian forces carried out 18 attacks near Rybne, Verkhnia Tersa, Huliaipilske, Mala Tokmachka and in the directions of Kosivtseve, Nove Zaporizhzhia, Rivne, Vozdvyzhivka and Kopani. On the Prydniprovske front, Ukrainian troops stopped one enemy attack.
On the Kramatorsk, Oleksandrivka and Orikhiv fronts, Russian forces did not conduct offensive operations. No significant changes in the situation were recorded on other sections of the front.
