Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that the threat of Russian missile strikes remains in the coming days.
He wrote about this on Telegram.
“It was precisely during today’s Russian ballistic attack on Kyiv that I spoke with the President of France. Thank you, Emmanuel, for your support,” the head of state said.
He noted that the need for additional air defence packages for Ukraine is obvious, and that work is under way with all partners to secure the relevant decisions.
“Unfortunately, there is a particular threat of further missile strikes in the coming days. It is important in response to increase pressure on Russia, and there must be bold joint steps,” the President said.
With his French counterpart, he discussed the challenges posed by the easing of sanctions on petroleum products.
“The Russians must feel that they will no longer have the capacity to drag out the war. We are coordinating in a focused way and preparing meetings,” Zelenskyy’s statement said.
- At around 14:00 on 10 October, Russia launched another missile attack on Kyiv. Monitoring channels reported a threat of Zircon missiles being used towards the capital. People were injured.
