Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed support for air defence, the latest Russian shelling and Russia’s additional revenues from exporting petroleum products with his Finnish counterpart Alexander Stubb.
The Ukrainian leader wrote about this on Telegram.
"I spoke with the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb. I am especially grateful for the support package for our air defence. In the coming days, we will receive ammunition for F-16s. This is what is currently enabling us to shoot down jet-powered Shaheds," he said.
He also noted that he had briefed Stubb on the latest Russian strikes. The leaders also discussed Russia’s additional revenues from exporting petroleum products, which could be used to finance further Russian aggression.
"We are preparing meetings and coordinating steps that could be useful in the current circumstances. Alex, thank you for your support! It is important that we continue working together to protect people and limit Russia’s ability to wage this horrific war," Zelenskyy wrote.
- Yesterday it became known that Finland will provide Ukraine with a new military aid package worth about €1 million. The decision to transfer weapons and military equipment was taken in response to Ukraine’s urgent request.
