In southern Borshchahivka in Kyiv, emergency power cuts were introduced due to an enemy attack. Electricity was also cut on an emergency basis in the Bucha district of the region.
DTEK reported this. According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, damage to an energy facility in Kyiv region has worsened the capital’s power supply situation. The city is also experiencing disruptions to water supply. Ukrenergo noted that as a result of an attack by Russian drones, several elements of the electricity grid involved in supplying power to parts of Kyiv and the region were de-energised. As a result, a significant number of consumers in the region are currently without power.
Restoration work began as soon as the security situation allowed, and power engineers are already working to restore supply to affected customers. This will take some time.
“If you currently have electricity in Kyiv or the region, please use it sparingly. This helps reduce the load on the grid and speeds up the elimination of the damage caused by the enemy,” Ukrenergo added.
Update. At 13:07, DTEK warned that in the Bucha district of the region, emergency power cuts are also being recorded due to an attack on energy facilities.
Power engineers are already working on site to restore electricity as quickly as possible.
