On World Animal Day, Ukraine hosted the national premiere of the film anthology War Through the Eyes of Animals — a unique project featuring not only Ukrainian artists but also Oscar-winning actor Sean Penn and the world-famous band Imagine Dragons. The project was produced by Oleh Kokhan.

Seven films, seven directors and acting teams tell the story of war through the eyes of animals, who suffer no less than humans from its consequences.

Following its landmark world premiere at the Tribeca International Film Festival in New York in June 2025, the film was presented to Ukrainian audiences and international film experts at the Odesa International Film Festival.

The first to see the film were not only Kyiv film buffs and festival guests but also emotional support dogs — participants in the social project Companions, which helps veterans, children and civilians who have survived the war.

In early November 2025, the film will be released for wide distribution, and every viewer will be able to join the Companions Collection campaign. Part of the proceeds from the distribution will go towards helping animals affected by the war.
