Three Ukrainian publications have been included in the international catalogue White Ravens 2025, one of the world’s most authoritative collections of children’s and young adult literature.
White Ravens is an annual publication compiled by the International Youth Library in Munich, Germany. Only the best books from around the world – those distinguished by their artistic, literary and cultural value – are included in the catalogue.
This year, three Ukrainian books were selected:
- Warm Clothes for Tatama by Oksana Lushchevska and Dmytro Bandarenko (published by Ranok);
- A Strange Carpathian Story by Vasyl Karpyuk (published by Brustury);
- Do You read Me? by the Agrafka art studio (published by Staryy Lev).
The book Warm Clothes for Tatama a short, heartfelt story about a father’s love for his daughter. A dad gets his daughter ready for a winter walk and tries not to forget anything so that she will be warm and comfortable. The book is based on the idea of expressing love not through things, but through a state of being.
