Ukraine has unveiled a national stand at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair — one of the most significant international forums in the field of children’s literature. The fair will run from 13 to 16 April at the BolognaFiere exhibition centre.
The Ukrainian stand is organised by the Ukrainian Book Institute. Within the exhibition, 17 Ukrainian publishing houses and one literary agency are presenting their publications. On the first day of the fair, a series of events took place at the Ukrainian stand, including discussions on translation and licensing, presentations of illustrations, bestsellers and classics, meetings with authors, masterclasses, and book signings.
The Bologna Children’s Book Fair traditionally brings together not only the book industry but also the fields of illustration, animation, and multimedia, creating a platform for international professional contacts and new collaborations.
Ukraine’s participation in this year’s fair has been made possible thanks to the cooperation and support of the event’s Italian partners.
