On the morning of 22 October, traffic on Kyiv’s Pivdennyi Bridge was completely closed. At first, the restrictions applied only to traffic from the right bank to the left bank, but they were later expanded.
This is linked to the security situation, police said. It is not known when traffic will resume.
“Due to the security situation, vehicle traffic on the Pivdennyi Bridge is temporarily closed in both directions,” the statement said.
The Kyiv City State Administration уточнили, that the decision was taken because of the risk of further strikes. Buses No. 22 and 91 are temporarily running via the Darnytskyi Bridge.
Last night, as a result of an enemy ballistic attack, the metro infrastructure on this bridge was damaged. Trains are not running across it.
Russia has attacked the Pivdennyi Bridge several times already.
