The 1,704th day of Russia’s full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. Over the past day, 181 combat engagements were recorded, the morning report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine says.
Yesterday, the enemy carried out 88 air strikes, during which it dropped 309 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the invaders used 10,270 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,755 attacks on populated areas and our troops’ positions, including 45 using multiple-launch rocket systems.
Enemy shelling, in particular, hit the settlements of Bezsalivka, Korenok, Tovstodubove, Ulanove, Rohizne, Neskuchne, Bachivsk, Volfyne, Vovkivka, Kozache, Smolyne, Brusky, Novovasylivka, Sopych, Baranivka, Rivne, Smykarivka, Nova Huta in Sumy Region; and Mykhalchyna-Sloboda in Chernihiv Region. The settlement of Tovstodubove was hit by an air strike.
Over the past day, the Defence Forces’ missile troops and artillery struck two areas where manpower and equipment were concentrated, three guns, a UAV control point and two other key enemy targets.
In the North Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions, over the past day the aggressor carried out two air strikes using six guided aerial bombs, and conducted 47 attacks on our troops’ positions and populated areas.
In the South Slobozhanshchyna direction, Ukrainian units repelled five enemy attacks. The invaders attacked in the areas of the settlements of Okhrimivka, Rybalchyne and Chuhunivka.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy tried five times to improve its position, conducting offensive actions towards Radkivka and Podoly.
Attempts to break into our defences were repelled in the Lyman direction, where the occupiers carried out three assault actions towards the settlements of Zarichne, Zakitne and Kolodiazi.
In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy carried out five attacks in the areas of the settlements of Ozerne, Kryva Luka, Pyskunivka and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy did not conduct assault actions.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, 23 attacks were recorded. The invaders conducted offensive actions in the area of the settlement of Kostiantynivka and towards Druzhkivka, Novoselivka, Mykolaipillia, Novopavlivka, Toretske, Vilne and Rusyn Yar.
The enemy carried out nineteen attacks in the Pokrovsk direction. The occupiers tried to advance towards the settlements of Dobropillia, Sviatohorivka, Chernihivka, Myrne, Hulive, Serhiivka, Molodetske and Novopavlivka.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy launched one assault towards Myrne.
In the Huliaipole direction, the occupiers attacked our defenders’ positions ten times. The enemy tried to advance towards the settlements of Uspishne, Rizdvianka, Hirke and Yehorivka.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy tried twice to attack towards Pavlivka and Chervona Krynytsia.
In the Dnipro direction, the occupiers did not conduct assault actions.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the enemy forming offensive groupings were detected.
- Overall, over the past day the losses of the Russian invaders amounted to 1,980 personnel. Five tanks, three armoured combat vehicles, 64 artillery systems, two multiple-launch rocket systems, two air defence assets, eight ground robotic systems, 1,855 unmanned aerial vehicles, 413 vehicles and one unit of specialised enemy equipment were also destroyed.
