The occupying forces entered the Chornobyl zone moving from the territory of Belarus. This information was shared by Anton Gerashchenko, the adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs.

According to him, the National Guard soldiers guarding the hazardous, radioactive waste storage facility fiercely resist.

"If the nuclear waste storage facility is destroyed as a result of artillery strikes, radioactive dust can cover the territories of Ukraine, Belarus, and the EU!" - Gerashchenko wrote.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the invasion of Chernobyl a declaration of war to the whole of Europe. According to him, Ukrainian defenders are doing everything to prevent the repeat of the 86th tragedy.

Earlier, around 1 P.M., the enemy forces invaded the border from the territory of Belarus through the Vilcha checkpoint. Also, a missile attack on a military facility in Brovary killed six people and wounded 12. There were also shellings in Bila Tserkva, Vyshhorod, Brovary, Fastiv, Obukhiv, and Boryspil districts.
