In the temporarily occupied Enerhodar, unknown individuals blew up the door of the entrance where the so-called "head of the administration" of the occupiers, Andriy Shevchyk, was staying.

The mayor of Enerhodar Dmytro Orlov reported about it in Telegram.

"Internet resources are spreading information about the explosion that took place in Enerhodar on Kurchatova Street on the morning of May 22. All the circumstances of the incident are being clarified, but we have accurate confirmation that the self-proclaimed head of the “people's administration” Shevchyk and his bodyguards were injured in the explosion. They were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity," Orlov texted.

According to Orlov, none of the residents of the entrance was injured during the explosion.

The information about the attack on Shevchyk was also confirmed by the adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Anton Herashchenko.

"A gas explosion occurred at 38 Kurchatova Street, where the traitor of Ukraine, Gauleiter of Energodar Shevchyk, lived. The so-called "mayor" received multiple shrapnel wounds," Herashchenko wrote.

On March 27, Andriy Shevchyk, a deputy of the city council of Enerhodar from the OPZH party, announced that he would head the "council of self-organization of the city" created by the russian military.

Protests against the russian presence continue in the city. On May 20, Enerhodar firefighters rallied against the abduction.
