On the night of May 23, the russian military launched two missile strikes on the city of Korosten in the Zhytomyr region, - announced by the Head of the Regional Administration Vitaliy Bunechko on the air of the national telethon #UArazom.
"About 2 am and 4 am there were explosions in the city of Korosten. The one at 4 am was the hit on the railway infrastructure. The one at 2 am was the air defense work, and the remnants fell on one of the residential areas, no significant damage," he said.
Yesterday around 1 pm russia struck missiles on infrastructure objects of the Zhytomyr region. Four cruise missiles were destroyed by the air defense units of the air command “Center”. Three missiles were destroyed by aircraft and one by an anti-aircraft missile unit of the air forces.
Also on May 22 there was an explosion near the town of Malyn in the Zhytomyr region, killing one person.
