There is no “betrayal” in France's position on Ukraine, there is an active discussion between the countries, on what will be our country's path to the EU and how long will it take.

This was reported by Ukrinform with reference to Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

In short, there will be no “betrayal” by France or any other country - no one will “break” us, and no one will be able to force us to do what we do not want… Whatever the headlines are, France provides weapons, supports sanctions, and even plays a leading role in promoting sanctions on many issues,” said Kuleba.

He added, that three months ago they discussed with France whether Ukraine would ever be a member of the EU, and now it is being discussed how long it will take. It is necessary to look at the situation and the context in which one or another position is expressed comprehensively.

According to Kuleba, we have very direct and honest diplomacy. We understand what we don't like if we are honestly explained why it is impossible.

“And if the zigzag moving starts, they tell us in words how much they love us, but they don't support it with deeds, then we go out and fight - both diplomatically and publicly. Because we do not have a situation in the country where we can afford endless diplomatic maneuvers,” Dmytro Kuleba said.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba called on Europeans to take concrete action and named the three shortest ways to achieve peace.

Kuleba also met in Kyiv with the Secretary of the Holy See for relations with states, Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher.
